John Cena Confirms His Status For WrestleMania 35 Next Year

John Cena will be one of the participants in WWE’s World Cup tournament in a couple of weeks at Crown Jewel. Early word is WWE officials are booking him to win the entire tournament. That was a big deal to the WWE Universe until the bracket was full of older veterans and not young up and comers who could have benefited from such a big win.

It’s been reported that Cena will be back on WWE television for most of the fall. We are getting to the end of October and the sixteen-time WWE Champion has yet to be found on Raw or SmackDown. After missing Summerslam, there’s a lot of speculation about him missing WrestleMania 35 in New York, but John Cena just put those rumors to bed.

During a recent interview with SiriusXM’s The Today Show Radio with Hoda Kotb, Cena was asked some questions from children in attendance. One of those questions was his status for the grandest stage of them all and John Cena promised a child that he would be involved in the show. That pretty much confirms that he will be having a big match at the event because John Cena doesn’t lie to children. That’s a Kevin Owens thing to do.

Even on a part-time schedule, Cena can hang with anyone on the WWE roster:

It’s far too early to start thinking realistically about who Cena will be feuding with for the event. A lot of that depends on his schedule and commitments to Hollywood. It isn’t easy to build a feud with John Cena if he’s not on WWE television regularly heading into the biggest show of the year. The advantage here is that Cena will work with anyone.
