According to ProWrestling.net, Hardy’s contract is set to expire with TNA in early 2016. In fact, it will expire before Wrestlemania 32 in April. Although Hardy is questioning his wrestling career, he’s was reportedly telling people at a WrestleCade event over the weekend that he is more open to a WWE return.
What was keeping Jeff Hardy away from returning to WWE in the past was the traveling schedule of WWE. Obviously, that schedule can be brutal and lead to intense burnout from the industry along with the physical toll the consistent wrestling has on the body.
However, WWE is no stranger to part-time contracts and performers at this point and Jeff Hardy would be a perfect guy for that role.
With Jeff back in WWE, it’s likely WWE would at least make the call to Matt Hardy to reunite the Hardy Boyz and add another great WWE team to the tag team division. It worked for The Dudley Boyz. There’s no reason it couldn’t work with the Hardys.
