Injury Update on Lana

Two months ago, Lana officially went on the disabled list due to a wrist injury that will keep her off WWE television for the rest of 2015 into next year. Lana’s injury eventually led to the revelation that in real life, Rusev had proposed to her, and their engagement was picked up by TMZ.

Since then, her fiancee has come to join her with a shoulder injury. Now the couple is off television together and despite rumors of backlash against them, they seem to be getting back together on WWE television when they return.

Lana posted the following injury update on Instagram giving a picture and some inspiring words:

Lana has the potential to be a major face for the WWE. She’s attractive. She has a strong presence on the microphone when she’s given the time to speak. Her “relationship” didn’t work with Dolph Ziggler because those two had no chemistry together on screen. They weren’t a believable couple like Lana and Rusev.

Rusev’s relationship didn’t work because Summer Rae didn’t compliment his character in a way that made him a dominant force like Lana made him.

Lana and Rusev together makes far more sense. It’s entirely possible for them to return at the Royal Rumble as a couple to have a strong showing and eventually lead to a stronger showing at Wrestlemania 32.

Last year, those two were in a heated battle with John Cena. It would be a shame to see them fall all the way to the preshow or off the card entirely.
