Last week, it was revealed that John Cena will be returning earlier than expected. As of now, he is officially advertised for a WWE live event from Madison Square Garden on December 26th. This booking represents that John Cena will be on WWE’s post-Christmas tour.

It is important to note that December 13th in Boston, WWE will have the “TLC” PPV. John Cena’s hometown of Boston is the perfect place for the former United States Champion to make his return.

According to F4WOnline.com, John Cena’s return feud will be with the current United States Champion Alberto Del Rio. Cena lost the title to Del Rio at “Hell in a Cell” last month, so evoking his rematch clause seems like a no-brainer in the storyline.

Due to the injury of Seth Rollins‘, there is a lot of speculation that John Cena has been contacted, and he could make his return to WWE immediately. Cena could be back on WWE television as early as next week’s Monday Night Raw.

The rumors and speculation within WWE are no matter what happens creatively in WWE over the next few weeks to adapt to Rollins’ absence, Cena vs. Del Rio is written in stone.
