In light of Finn Balor’s injury, the door of opportunity flew open for Kevin Owens to become the WWE Universal Champion last week on Raw.

It’s the positive swing of Finn Balor’s injury that someone else worthy got the opportunity, but the negative swing is that Balor’s recovery time continues to increase.

The latest update on Balor’s status was that his injury could force him to miss Wrestlemania 33 despite the fact that is so far away from the present day, but that just proves the severity of the injury.

According to some new information from CageSideSeats.com, Finn Balor’s optimistic about being out of action for six months, which would put him back on WWE programming by February.

However, there are reports claiming that the potential for him to be out of action for seven or even eight months is likely, which will force him to miss Wrestlemania.

It seems that a return at the “Royal Rumble” is extremely doubtful for Balor, but it is still very early in his recovery process. The amount of time he is out will have to do with his hard work and some luck.

Do you think Finn Balor should remain on Raw when he returns to WWE or move to SmackDown?
