It had been previously reported that Mosh and Thrasher, better known as The Headbangers, would be making their return to the company on this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live.”

WWE has confirmed that the duo will be returning, releasing this information on their preview for the show tonight:

Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Headbangers, Mosh and Thrasher, surprised the WWE Universe when they announced on Twitter that they would be returning to WWE on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live.

It has been quite some time since we have seen The Headbangers in a WWE ring and one must wonder why tonight will be the night for their return. Will their foray onto Team Blue have implications on the SmackDown Tag Team Championship Tournament that has already seen American Alpha and The Usos advance?

These are the tweets that the article is talking about:

The Headbangers were a team in the early 2000s, that were based upon the popular music style of the time. They are former WWE Tag Team champions, and had a mild amount of success with the company.

Editor’s Note:

I’m very interested to see if this team can still go. I was a fan of theirs growing up, and was not expecting to see them compete ever again. This should be a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to their appearance on the show!
