The rumors were flying around all week about who would become the new WWE Universal Champion on tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

There were rumors for both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to win. The WWE Universe wondered if this was Kevin Owens’ moment to become a superstar, or if Big Cass had a real chance to become a WWE Champion.

It was revealed shortly before Raw that the Fatal Four Way between the four men would be an elimination match. The last man starting would have to earn it, and luck had very little to do with becoming champion.

The match went on for several minutes without an elimination until Big Cass got hit with Pop-Up Powerbomb and became the first man eliminated. After that, it was up to Owens, Reigns, and Rollins to win the match.

In one of the biggest shocks of the year, Triple H made his long-awaited return to WWE programming in the middle of the match, cost Roman Reigns the title, and then double crossed Seth Rollins.

As a result, Kevin Owens was crowned the new WWE Universal Championship as the “You Deserve It” chant rang throughout the arena in Houston.

Are you happy that Kevin Owens is the new WWE Universal Champion?
