Chris Benoit’s wrestling career and tragic end is a very sensitive topic that needs to be handled extremely carefully if it is going to be talked about at all.
A lot of people have been involved in trying to make a Benoit biopic since back in 2007. The impact of the events surrounding his death caused dramatic changes to be made in the wrestling business as well as sports in general, so it is only natural that someone would want to make a movie out of that.
According to a report from PWMania.com, the film entitled “Crossface” about Benoit has been in “developmental hell” for a number of years, but it has recently found its was back of track to be made.
Filmmaker Lexi Alexander has confirmed that she will be working on the movie, and a great deal of it will focus on Benoit’s double-murder and suicide from June 2007.
It’s going to be very interesting to see how the film is made since the three days where the murders and sucicide took place is covered in mystery and the finished film could be extremely graphic.
Do you think Chris Benoit’s tragic end is appropriate to become a full feature film?
