At “Clash of Champions” later this month, Kevin Owens will defend the WWE Universal Championship against Seth Rollins at the very least.

We’ll have to wait until next week to find out if Roman Reigns will be involved in the title match at “Clash of Champions,” but the early word doesn’t look very good for Owens walking out of the PPV as champion.

According to a rumor from Ringtalkk.com, there is a strong possibility of Kevin Owens losing the WWE Universal Championship to either Rollins or Reigns at “Clash of Champions.”

The reason why isn’t clear, but it would be a strange booking decision to take the belt away from Owens so soon. His reign would have only been a few weeks long, which isn’t enough time to make an impact.

If Reigns qualifies for the WWE Universal title match at “Clash of Champions” that would allow Owens to lose the championship without being pinned, which would continue the feud and save face for Owens.

The truth is there is no other way to book a title change without it coming off negatively on Owens because he would have only held the title for three or four weeks.

Do you think losing the WWE Universal Championship at “Clash of Champions” would hurt Kevin Owens?
