There were rumors and some reports, but WWE signing Chelsea Green was mostly kept under the radar. That may have been by design or Matt Riddle signing at the same time was a huge distraction. Regardless, Green is training at the WWE Performance Center right now, but the WWE Universe still wants to know more about her future with WWE.
For instance, does she have the rights to the “Hot Mess” character or will WWE be doing some kind of watered-down version of the gimmick? Green’s character has become very popular on the independent and has been featured on Lucha Underground, Impact, and other promotions. She just competed at “All In” under the gimmick to very high praise.

Shortly after being signed, Chelsea Green took to social media to post a picture of her as the “Hot Mess” character. She also revealed the first couple dates for her NXT live event debut later this week. All signs are pointing to WWE officials allowing her to continue a version of her “split personality” character and they want Green working immediately.
Obviously, the NXT Universe will embrace her with open arms and her star will rise fast on NXT programming. Apparently, WWE officials are extremely impressed with her and believe she will become a huge star once she makes it to the main roster. Most wrestling fans would agree. Green has something very unique, especially in the women’s division.
