Tonight, Brock Lesnar will face Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in his first fight in The Octagon for five years. The anticipation is high for the fight tonight, but when all the hype dies down, and Lesnar has won or lost, he’s still going to need to face Randy Orton at “Summerslam” in roughly six weeks.
Lesnar has previously admitted that he doesn’t care about his WWE aura being affected by the result of his fight at UFC 200, but WWE programming is held together by wins and losses just like any other sport.
The problem with Brock Lesnar right now is that no matter what happens tonight at UFC 200, he’s going to need a victory at “Summerslam.” WWE realizes that, which is why they selected Randy Orton as his next opponent.
According to a report from CageSideSeats.com, there is no chance that Randy Orton will be booked to win over Brock Lesnar at “Summerslam.”
The fact is that it isn’t going to be believable for Lesnar to compete and win at UFC 200 only to lose to Orton in his first WWE match back. If Lesnar loses, there is no way a loss to Orton wouldn’t kill his momentum.
Do you think it’s fair for Randy Orton not to have a chance of defeating Brock Lesnar at “Summerslam?”
