It’s a great opportunity. There are a lot of people involved in presenting a wrestling show and several of them never actually have a wrestling match. One of the less heralded parts of the show is the team of backstage interviewers, who can make things a little more interesting in a hurry. That is the case with some of WWE’s current team, and now one of them is getting a bigger platform.
WWE has a group of backstage interviewers but one of the most featured names is Charly Caruso, who has been with the company since 2016. Caruso is one of the featured interviewers and hosts for various WWE shows and you can see every bit of her talent and charisma any time she is on screen. Someone else has taken notice of it as well and now she is going to be trying something new.
Caruso has announced that she will be one of the hosts of the new First Take, Her Take podcast from ESPN. The show will focus on the hosts’ work in sports news, pop culture and entertainment with hot takes on everything involved. Caruso will host the show along with Chiney and Kimberly Martin. This is another step for Caruso’s work for ESPN, where she has also served as an on-air host. Caruso is not expected to step away from WWE in any way.
Opinion: This is neither surprising nor a bad thing as Caruso really is great on the air and in just about everything that she does. It is awesome that she is getting a chance to showcase her talents elsewhere and stick with WWE at the same time. Hopefully the podcast works out well as Caruso really is someone who is should be given a chance to be awesome elsewhere.
