He has returned. One of the major developments in the world of professional wrestling over the past few months has been the partnership between AEW and Impact Wrestling. Ever since Kenny Omega defeated Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title at the Winter is Coming event on December 2, 2020, a partnership between the two promotions has come to fruition.

That partnership was on display again tonight as Matt Hardy and Private Party made an appearance on tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling. This was Hardy’s first time to be seen on the promotion since February of 2017.

You can see their appearance below:

The trio arrived and interrupted a conversation between The Good Brothers, Chris Sabin, and James Storm. As a result of this, Private Party took on Sabin and Storm in a No. 1 contenders match for the Impact Tag Team Championships in the main event. Private Party would eventually get the win with the Gin and Juice.

Editor’s Opinion:

It was neat to see Hardy back in the promotion that revitalized his career. The ‘Broken’ gimmick put Impact back on the map and caused him to have more fame than he ever had before. Very cool moment for everyone involved!
