Well it saves some money. One of the things you might expect WWE to do more often is tape back to back shows in the same city. If the equipment is already there and everything is set up, it would make sense to run the same cities on back to back nights. As it turns out, WWE thinks the same thing.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of 411mania.com, WWE is planning to hold more double TV tapings (as in “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live”) in the same cities in 2018. This is normally only done on the UK tours and over Big Four pay per view weekends but will be a more common trend going forward. The first such taping will be in Phoenix in February.

Like this, but during regular weeks.

Opinion: Well it’s not a bad idea. I could go for less of the four night tapings but doing these on back to back nights, especially in major cities, makes a ton of sense. Why bother having the shows go all over the place when you’re going to draw a solid crowd either way? It makes sense and I’m surprised it took them this long.

Do you like this plan? Which cities do you think will get this treatment? Let us know in the comments below.
