Know your role. Celebrities have played a huge part in wrestling since its inception and that is still the case today. It is something that makes sense and WWE has embraced the idea for WrestleMania throughout its history. That is not likely to ever change and it is a tradition that can be rather fun. It will certainly be the case again this year and now we know what one of the celebrities will be doing.
One of the big celebrity additions to this year’s WrestleMania 37 is YouTube star Logan Paul, who appeared as part of last week’s SmackDown. Paul appeared as the special guest of Sami Zayn during the red carpet premiere of the trailer for Zayn’s new documentary. Kevin Owens interrupted and attacked Zayn, though not before Zayn invited Paul to WrestleMania. But what will Paul be doing?
During a recent edition of Booker T.’s Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T. said the rumor is Paul will be either the guest referee or an enforcer for the Owens vs. Zayn match at WrestleMania 37. WWE has yet to confirm what Paul will be doing at the show, other than appearing in some fashion. Paul has a boxing background and will be fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. later this year.
It was quite the debut. Check out the podcast clip, Paul on SmackDown and other enforcers:
Opinion: This is about all you could have expected from Paul and it does make a bit of sense. I know Paul might not be the most popular name, but he does have an audience and it would make sense to put him in a role like this. It isn’t like he is going to be some focal point and letting him out there is not going to hurt anything on the show. Keeping it simple makes sense here and that is what matters most.
