Out of his price range. There are a lot of legends throughout the wrestling world with WWE having as many of them as anyone else. Some of these legends are a bit better known than others, even if they might be best known for just one or two things. Now though we have a new level of interest between a pair of generations, but things might not be taking place anytime soon.
Every now and then a wrestling angle comes out of the headlines of the day. This can make for a much more topical story, but it has to be done properly or things get even more confusing than normal. When done well though, these can be the best angles you will see, especially with the right people involved. That was the case this week, and now another wrinkle almost took place.
This week on NXT, Cameron Grimes tried to copy Ted DiBiase’s offers of $1000 to anyone who could dribble a basketball three times. The idea did not work throughout the night, with Grimes eventually punching one of the people attempting the stunt. Grimes also yelled about DiBiase during the show. The following day, DiBiase’s former bodyguard Virgil suggested the two team together, but Grimes turned him down on Twitter.

Sorry @TheRealVirgil but you can blame that no good @MDMTedDiBiase for not getting any of my cheddar! #KissMyGRITS https://t.co/z37kf6wc4U

This was amazing. Check out Grimes on NXT, plus Virgil and DiBiase:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that I could always go for more of in wrestling as not only was the idea funny, but the fallout worked as well. You don’t get to see something like that very often and Grimes nailed the idea. Anyone could imitated DiBiase’s old segments, but this was a new, funny twist on the idea and that is something we could use more of today. Virgil being thrown in made it even better.
