This is kind of a crazy one. Wrestlers are of course known for being physical. The matches are scripted but there’s no denying that these people are actually making contact with each other, which is going to lead to some high levels of intensity. In this case though, that seemed to go beyond the ring.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, Scott Hall and King Kong Bundy got into a physical altercation at a fan convention in November. Hall reportedly showed up late and appeared to be intoxicated. He continued to mock Bundy, who eventually went after him and, according to Brutus Beefcake on Sean Mooney’s “Prime Time” podcast, had his hands around Hall’s throat.

In case you’ve forgotten who Bundy is:

King Kong Bundy makes his WWE debut: Championship Wrestling, March 16, 1985

Opinion: I know this sounds funny on paper but really, this is quite the sad thing to see. Hall’s issues with sobriety are well known and hopefully this is a one off thing and not a step back down a dark path. It’s also not a good sign when Hall just being found is considered a bit of a relief.

What did you think of Bundy’s WWE career? Should he be in the Hall of Fame? Let us know in the comments below.
