It’s a bonus. Back in February 2014, the WWE Network was launched and changed the wrestling game forever. All of a sudden wrestling fans could see almost anything they wanted for a pretty cheap price. It was one of the best things to ever happen to wrestling fans and very little has changed since. That might be changing now, and it might mean even more wrestling.
According to PWInsider.com, Sunday night’s supershow in Boston, Massachusetts will be filmed by a smaller than usual production crew. The show is being taped as a dry run for shows that would be broadcast on the upcoming tiered system of the WWE Network. There are currently no plans announced for when the new system will be set up, though next month’s Starrcade event in Cincinnati will be taped as well.
This is the kind of thing that you might be seeing.
Opinion: As a day one WWE Network subscriber, I’ll be signing up for whatever they offer as I find it to be the greatest thing that can happen to wrestling fans. Being able to see some live events might make things a lot more interesting as you can only get so much interest out of shows that aren’t going to mean anything. Hopefully we get some more big time wrestling, which could be a lot of fun for everyone involved.
