At least they made it clear. Wrestlers are always going to get hurt in wrestling as it’s just part of the nature of the business. Wrestling is a physical sport and no matter who is in there, the chance of an injury is always out there. Some of these are far worse than others, while some of them just require some time off. That seems to be the case with a current top WWE star.
This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that AJ Styles was being taken out of a four way match for the #1 contendership to the Universal Title. After the announcement, Styles was attacked by Baron Corbin. This may mean that Styles will be missing some time, as according to 411mania.com, Styles is not advertised for any live events or television throughout June.
Here’s how they got rid of him. Check out Corbin’s attack on Styles:
Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world as Styles is getting older (he’ll be 42 later this week) and has wrestled a physical style for a long time now. He’s also coming off a year long reign as WWE Champion where he wasn’t really able to take any time off and rest. His career probably doesn’t have very long left so it’s a good idea for him to take some time off and heal up, because it’s going to be more necessary going forward.
How long do you think Styles has left? What should he do when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
