Good to have you back. This has been a difficult year for a lot of people due to one thing after another and WWE is no exception. The company has seen various shakeups take place over the course of the year and some of these involve a variety of people’s lives and careers taking a hit as a result. Some things are starting to revert back to normal again and that is the case with one prominent backstage name.
One of the bigger WWE changes to take place this year saw dozens of names being released from the company in the span of a few days. While most of them were wrestlers, there were also several producers who were furloughed from the company, with promises that they would be brought back into the fold later on. The original date of their return came and went with few changes taking place, but now a few people are being brought back, with another being added to the list.
According to PWInsider.com, Dave Finlay has been brought back to WWE and is working for the company as a producer again. This comes after Finlay was furloughed in April and has not been back to the company since. Finlay was backstage at this week’s NXT taping and has been with WWE again for a little over a week. It is not clear which show he is helping to produce. This comes just after Shane Helms returned to work as well.
Finlay has been around for quite a while. Check out some of the times you may have seen him:
Opinion: Good for Finlay. This whole thing has been a weird situation that you can’t plan for and that makes things all the more difficult to figure out. It makes sense that WWE doesn’t have as many producers backstage at the moment because there is no real need for a lot of them to be there. Things are starting to pick up in WWE for their busy season again though and it makes sense to have some of the more experienced hands around backstage, with Finlay certainly being included.
What do you think of Finlay? Who else would make a good producer? Let us know in the comments below.
