I’d say he’s arrived. There are a lot of stars in the wrestling business and then there is the Rock. After coming out of the wrestling world, Rock moved on to Hollywood and became one of if not the biggest stars in all of the industry. That is the kind of thing that you don’t get to see very often and it is a great image for wrestling. Now Rock is going back to his roots again, but not exactly in the same way you would expect.

The Rock was in a unique position as a wrestler as he was born into the business. As a third generation wrestler and a member of one of the biggest wrestling families of all time, he was all but destined to be a high level professional wrestler. That background is interesting enough that NBC felt it was worth a sitcom about his childhood, and it received quite the promotion this week.

Just….wow. Check out Rock flying through the air:

Young Rock received a balloon in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, featuring a likeness of the Rock from his early WWF career. The design showed the Rock in jeans and a sweater while also wearing a fanny pack. The balloon’s pack was filled with helium which helped keep the balloon flying. Young Rock is scheduled to debut at some point in February 2021 on NBC.

Opinion: What else is there to say about this? It’s a huge balloon flying through the air and it looks exactly like the Rock. If that isn’t proof that he has become one of the biggest stars in all of entertainment, I’m not entirely sure what else is going to do the trick. If nothing else, I’m looking forward to the series to see how the older generation of wrestlers are depicted, which can always be interesting.

How did the balloon look? What are you expecting from the series? Let us know in the comments below.
