That’s where they’re going. We are in uncharted territory for the WWE at the moment as you don’t know where things are going next. The last two pay per views have taken place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida ant that has made for some very unique atmospheres. There is only so much that can be done there, which makes you wonder what is next. Now we might have an idea.

There are only so many ways to run WWE pay per views at the moment. WrestleMania featured a pair of cinematic matches and Money in the Bank did the same, albeit with the two of them taking place at the same time. WWE is going to have to do something for their next pay per view, though it might not have quite the gimmick of the previous two shows. We do at least know something though.

During Money in the Bank, WWE announced that the next pay per view will be Backlash, taking place on June 14. There was no location nor matches announced for the show. Backlash was a regular pay per view event for most of the 2000s but then took six years off to return in 2016. The show was not on the 2019 schedule, with Stomping Grounds taking its place.

Backlash has had its moments over the years. Check out some of the bigger ones:

Opinion: Backlash is as good as anything else, though I’m not sure what we can expect from the show. There is a chance that some fans could be allowed in by then, but it’s not like there is anything resembling a logical path to take at this point. Hopefully we get something that makes sense and works well, but I’m not sure what kind of show we can get with no fans in the building.

What are you expecting for Backlash? How will the card look? Let us know in the comments below.
