That kind of a burn needs some barbecue sauce on it. The Wednesday Night Wars between AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT have been ramping up over the last month and there is no reason to believe that things are going to die down anytime soon. With such a battle over a single night of the week, there are a few things that are guaranteed to happen. One of these things is an exchange of insults, which can take place over the course of just a few days as one side wants to retaliate against the other in a hurry, and that is exactly what happened recently.

Universal Champion Seth Rollins has been taking some shots at AEW over the last few weeks, ranging from insults regarding how much money he makes and then calling AEW the minor leagues. As a result, Dynamite play by play man Jim Ross responded to Rollins on his Grillin’ JR podcast, saying that he was not pleased with Rollins’s statements. Among JR’s responses were statements that maybe someday Rollins will be as over as his girlfriend Becky Lynch. Ross does compliment Rollins for his talent but does not appreciate the insults. Ross also makes it clear that he is not interested in a war with WWE, as it would be ridiculous.

Which one do you prefer? Check out both sides at their best:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that does not make WWE look good. At the end of the day, WWE is still light years ahead of AEW, which has not even had weekly television for a month so far. I know they have had some success out of the gate, but maybe we should wait for what happens down the line until either WWE feels the need to take shots at AEW. At the moment, AEW is only barely beating WWE’s minor league show. Is that really the biggest problem in the world to worry about yet?

Does Rollins look bad like this? Was Ross’ response acceptable? Let us know in the comments below.
