That’s quite an uptick. Wrestling is driven by angles in one form or another. Sure the whole thing is built on the wrestling, but without the angles, there isn’t much of a reason for the wrestlers to be fighting. These angles can take a variety of forms but what matters most is that the wrestlers are given a reason to do what they are doing. One of these things took place this week on Monday Night Raw and as it turns out, there was a little more to it than that.

As announced on, Rusev was arrested after his altercation with Bobby Lashley on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. The Cleveland police arrested Rusev but released him after Lashley and Lana refused to press charges against Rusev. As a result, Rusev is scheduled to appear on next week’s edition of Monday Night Raw to address the situation with Lashley. The altercation began after Lashley and Lana announced that they were on a date at a restaurant, with Rusev going there to start the fight.

This didn’t end well. Check out how Rusev got arrested:

Opinion: This is the kind of angle that isn’t going to mean much but at least Rusev is showing some backbone after weeks of sitting around while Lashley and Lana did whatever they wanted. I’m not sure how the match is going to go, but how much of a win can Rusev pull out of the whole thing anyway? There is a good chance that Lashley wins anyway and then where is Rusev in the whole thing? This whole thing just screams bad idea from the start and I don’t see it getting any better.

How do you see the match going? Can Rusev come out of it looking any better? Let us know in the comments below.
