It’s an emotional topic. Over the last few months, Undertaker has received more attention than he has in years. It seems that he is finally getting close to hanging it up for good and that is a situation that a lot of fans have been dreading for a long time. It has to happen at some point though and it turns out that more than just the fans are getting caught up in the emotion.
Undertaker has been in WWE for just shy of thirty years now. That is an amazing accomplishment and something that almost no one else has ever approached, let alone reached. That is going to give him quite a connection to a lot of others in WWE and given his backstage reputation, it is no surprise that people are going to be attached to him. This includes the top name in the wrestling world.
You don’t see this very often. Check out how Vince McMahon responds to an Undertaker question:
WWE has released the latest episode of the Last Ride documentary on the Undertaker. In the episode, Vince McMahon is asked about what Undertaker means to both WWE and McMahon himself. McMahon nearly begins crying and does not give an answer, eventually signaling to cut the camera and saying “can’t do that”. McMahon does not answer the question.
Opinion: Undertaker really is someone unlike any other and I’m not sure if anyone is ever going to approach the impact that he has had. There is a lot more to his contributions to WWE than just what he has done in the ring and a clip like this makes that obvious. Undertaker is not someone who comes around every day and it is great to see that being acknowledged.
What do you think of Undertaker? What will it mean when he is done in the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
