Oh no. You never know when you are going to see an injury take place in wrestling and there is never a good time for one. Something can happen to someone in the blink of an eye and take away all of their momentum, if not outright put their career on hold. Neither of these is a good option, but sometimes that best you can do is hope for the best. That is the territory we are in now.

Back in April, several wrestlers were released from WWE in the span of a few days. That is not the kind of thing that you can expect to see happen at any time and it was nice to see several of them getting their chance to wrestle somewhere else after they were free to appear elsewhere. That was the case with the former Heath Slater, who wound up in Impact Wrestling under just his first name. The story of him receiving a contract with the company was a long process, but the payoff came at Bound For Glory….along with something else.

Heath was a participant in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at Bound For Glory but was injured in the process. During the match, Heath suffered some sort of a lower body injury and stayed in the corner for a long stretch of the match. Following the show, PWInsider reported that Heath suffered a groin or abdomen tear and remained hospitalized. There is no word on how long Heath will be out of action.

You can see where it happened. Check out how the injury took place:

Opinion: Hopefully this isn’t too serious, but the fact that he is still in the hospital is not a good sign. Heath has done rather well during his limited time in Impact Wrestling and he is someone who could be rather entertaining in the role he has been playing. I’m not sure how long this is going to keep him out of action, but all we can do now is wait on some more information, which hopefully is better rather than worse.

What do you think of Heath? How will he do in Impact Wrestling? Let us know in the comments below.
