He’s next. There are so many wrestlers under the WWE umbrella that it might be difficult to figure out what is going on at any given time with anyone. Some of them are left running around in circles while others have a pretty clearly defined future. Granted a lot of this comes from having the right backstage support, and now one big name might have found the best support there is.
On the first night of the WWE Draft, Lars Sullivan made a surprise return to the company after nearly a year and a half on the injured list. That is the kind of absence that basically resets everything Sullivan had done, which is certainly the case with Sullivan as he was only around for a few weeks in the first place. Sullivan is now back with a vengeance and someone has certainly taken notice.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Vince McMahon sees Sullivan as the next guy and the person that he wants to elevate above all others. This comes after rumors of WWE planning a match between Sullivan and Strowman for around a year from now. Sullivan has already defeated Jeff Hardy and attacked various other wrestlers since making his return to television.
He can certainly get your attention. Check out what McMahon has seen in Sullivan:
Opinion: I can see why McMahon sees something in Sullivan but having him be the next big project might be a bit of a stretch. At the end of the day, Sullivan has not had much time on the main roster and has not shown that he can go more than a few weeks without some kind of a controversy. Maybe that can change over time, but for now it sounds like a bit of a stretch.
What do you think of Sullivan? How far will he go in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
