Hell in a Cell is one night of the year, where rivalries are intensified and the brutality is taken to another level. Being trapped inside that structure brings out the best and worst in competitors, and champions are always in trouble when their titles are on the line.

That was the case tonight as two championships changed hands at the 2020 edition of the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

First, Sasha Banks defeated Bayley to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. The finish came when Banks pulled her down into the Bank Statement though, even tying a chair around Bayley’s neck. Some stomps to the chair to go with the hold make Bayley tap out.

Second, in the main event of the show, Randy Orton defeated Drew McIntyre to win his 14th world championship. The finish came when a backslide gives McIntyre a two count (in a call back to Summerslam), followed by a Claymore to send Orton outside. Back in and another Claymore misses, setting up the RKO to give Orton the pin and the title.

Editor’s Opinion:

Hell in a Cell 2020 was one of the top pay-per-view events of the year. I actually did not see either of the title changes taking place, but I am not upset about it as both matches were outstanding. This is also going to set up some fantastic matches for Survivor Series, and I am all about it!
