Vince McMahon Offers John Cena Some Birthday Praise

Now batting for WWE. Over the last fifteen years, there haven’t been many stars in wrestling that can compare to John Cena. It’s quite remarkable to have gone from a comedy guy to one of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling and people now recognize his accomplishments. One person who has taken notice is Vince McMahon, who offered some high praise for Cena on a major milestone in his life.

Cena turned forty years old on Sunday and his boss tweeted out a message of congratulations and respect. The message compares Cena to baseball legend Babe Ruth, who is widely considered one of the best of all time, if not the greatest ever period. Happy Birthday Cena.

Opinion: While Ruth, a legend who is a borderline mythical figure, might not be the most appropriate comparison for someone who is still an active wrestler, it’s clear that McMahon and WWE in general thinks very highly of Cena. It’s not like he hasn’t earned it either as he’s one of the biggest names in WWE history and has fought his way to his spot on that list.
