In recent years, Jim Cornette has been extremely critical of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens because of his own personal dealings with the two during his time in Ring of Honor. Since then, both have gone on to become successful WWE stars, and now, fans are trying to throw that in Cornette’s face, as the perception has been that he thought both men would never get over on WWE’s main roster.

In a recent interview with the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling, Cornette clarified his stance on Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

“I never said that they were bad wrestlers and they couldn’t get over. I said they ain’t getting over unless they do certain things and tweak what they’ve already got. They’ve done that and they have been successful. They’ve never embarrassed the business by beating up grade school children or having matches with blow up dolls.”
