Who Is Vince McMahon Very High On?

He’s certainly Vince McMahon’s type. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has a mixed history. In theory it’s a great way to advance someone’s career in a hurry, but at times it’s been a grand total of nothing. I mean, surely you remember the meteoric rise of Mojo Rawley after winning last year’s event. However, some winners have done very well after winning and actually launched their careers to a new level. That was the case with Baron Corbin, but it turns out that there might be something much bigger in store for him.

Corbin has been in some big matches before.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of Wrestlinginc.com, Vince McMahon is a big supporter of Corbin and still has big plans for him. There were originally plans to push Corbin hard after WrestleMania 33, including giving him new music and possibly making him a World Champion. Corbin would win the Money in the Bank contract that year but later lost his cash-in attempt on champion Jinder Mahal. He did go on to win the United States Title later in the year.

Who does Corbin consider his dream opponent?

Opinion: I could go with Corbin getting a solid push. He’s a big guy who has taken to wrestling in a hurry. Throw in a great finisher and character and Corbin really could go a long way. Above all else though, he has McMahon pushing him, which is really all you could hope for. He’s the most important man in wrestling and if he wants to push the heck out of Corbin, odds are it’s going to happen one way or another.
