They’re catching up. It’s pretty much a given that “Monday Night Raw” is the flagship show for WWE. Sure “Smackdown Live” is treated as a big deal in its own right but there’s really not much of a comparison between the two of them. The numbers gap has been closing in recent weeks though and that gap could get much smaller given that this Monday’s show was a holiday episode.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live” drew 2.656 million viewers. This number is up 3% from last week’s 2.578 million viewers. The total viewers are only 4.9% below this week’s “Monday Night Raw”, which drew 2.703 million viewers, albeit on Christmas night.
Miss the show? Here are some highlights.
Opinion: I’m not sure the comparison between the two shows means anything as “Monday Night Raw” was on a major holiday and “Smackdown Live” was any given episode. It’s cool to see the blue show doing well though as it’s gotten a little better in recent weeks. I can’t imagine this run lasts very long though and that’s not the biggest surprise in the world. At least it’s lasting at the moment though.
