The clip that launched a thousand memes. Last Friday at the Greatest Royal Rumble, WWE presented one of the biggest shows they’ve ever put together with one of the biggest matches they’ve ever put together. The show looked great and wasn’t bad from a quality standpoint, but none of that is what people have been talking about. Instead, it’s been all about Titus O’Neil falling face first onto the floor and sliding all the way underneath the ring. It was as bad of a botch as you’ll see in a long time and even WWE is getting in on the act.

Let’s look at it another way.

You have seen the memes but there is MORE! Alternate angles of Titus' trip heard around the world

WWE has posted a new video looking at O’Neil’s fall, including alternate angles of the crash and featuring the commentary team cracking up over the mistake. The event was also referenced on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw when O’Neil appeared in a backstage segment with Baron Corbin. Later in the night, O’Neil came out for a distraction during Corbin’s match and slipped on the apron this time. The distraction caused Corbin to get rolled up for a surprise pin.

You can see the how things went down on Raw right here.

Opinion: You had to know this was coming and there’s nothing wrong with that. The fall itself is also a great example of why WWE comedy almost never works. This moment was all about the surprise and unplanned nature of the whole thing, which is what made it work. Far too often, WWE tries to hammer the comedy into your head. This will be replayed for a very long time and it’s still going to be funny because you can’t stage something like this and it’s very clear.

What is the funniest thing you’ve ever seen in wrestling? Will this be a positive for O’Neil? Let us know in the comments below.
