Now how long will they last? It’s a new year and that means things are supposed to change a little bit. I say supposed to because New Year’s Resolutions do not have the best track record for a lot of people. I’m sure the people who make them mean well, but at the same time, how many have you managed to keep over the years? There is nothing wrong with not quite living up to the idea and wrestlers certainly make them too.

There are a lot of things for a wrestler to improve on in their career. Maybe it’s improving their in-ring skills, how well they talk on a microphone, their success in the ring or their standing in the company, but everyone has something they can do better. The new year would seem to be as good of a time as any to make such improvements and WWE seems interested in this as well.

WWE has released a video asking its wrestlers about their New Year’s Resolutions. Some of these are in character and some are not, with wrestlers talking about more generic things like being more honest with themselves and eating better, while others talk about wanting to win titles. Some of them are a little more specific than others, while one name talks about not being a fan of New Year’s Resolutions.

It’s the usually interesting list. Check out what is on the roster’s minds:

Opinion: These are about what you would expect and there is nothing wrong with that. New Year’s Resolutions are the kind of things that might sound good on paper but may not be the most practical in the real world. I tend to side with Kofi Kingston: if you’re going to make such a change, there is no need or reason to wait until January 1. If you’re serious about it, you probably are willing to start earlier than that.
