When things get violent. Tomorrow night will see the annual Backlash pay per view. While the show doesn’t have the most definitive theme, the majority of the time will see more violent versions of the matches that took place at WrestleMania. A lot of the time there will be gimmick rematches with another level of violence allowing the feuds to either be continued or blown off. That allows for some extreme moments in the show’s history and that’s what WWE is looking at today.
The stuff WrestleMania can’t quite do.
Opinion: There’s something cool about something like this as Backlash, while not the most important show of the year, certainly has its own long history to go over. You really can cover a lot of things that you can’t do on WrestleMania, which taps into a different side of a feud. The big show can present present you with the grand spectacle of the matches while Backlash offers the more violent side with both people involved doing whatever they can to end things once and for all.
