Chris Jericho has now returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling, as Ringside News confirms. In his return, he attacked IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito, coming back where he had left months ago.

During NJPW’s Wrestling Dontaku last night, Jericho made his return to the ring, immediately making an impact. Fans had speculated his return over the past 24-48 hours, but it has now been confirmed.

Jericho came out of the crowd wearing LIJ gear and attacked Naito as he was walking backstage. He layed into Naito with several big shots, before dropping a barricade on him. He then took to the ring, revealing himself.

He would hit a Codebreaker on Naito and continued to lay him out with a series of additional shots and an attack with the ring bell.

It is also worth noting that Jericho debuted a new shirt design similar to the ‘Alpha Club’ design he had for his feud with Kenny Omega earlier this year. This one, however, read “Los Ingobernables de Jericho.”

It is unknown what exactly happens from here, but it is expected Jericho will face Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship at one of the big two upcoming NJPW shows.

What are your thoughts on Jericho returning to NJPW? Are you glad?
