So that’s what happened. Over the course of the summer, fans have been seeing a storyline unfold involving Roman Reigns being attacked by a mystery assailant. Several weeks later, Erick Rowan was revealed as the attacker, sending him into one of the biggest pushes of his career. This was quite the surprise moment and now we have an explanation for what is going on.
This week on SmackDown Live, Rowan sat down with Michael Cole for an interview, explaining why he attacked Reigns. Rowan’s explanation was that he was not happy with Daniel Bryan being considered Rowan’s intellectual equal and that he was tired of being ignored. Later in the show, Rowan and Luke Harper attacked Bryan and Reigns to end the show.
That’s why he did it. Check out Rowan’s explanation:
And then it got physical. Check out the end of the show brawl:
Opinion: Rowan is the kind of monster who can be a big star if he is pushed right with that kind of a look and talking ability. There is a chance that he could get over quite well in a role like this and having Harper there could help him a little bit. The team has been successful before and having them back together could be the best thing that could happen to the two of them. As long as WWE doesn’t screw it up again.
