I’d call that a big one. There are legends in wrestling and then there are the real legends. Some of the biggest names in wrestling history have managed to become part of pop culture and that is the kind of thing that not many people can claim. One can claim it more than anyone else though and now he might be willing to get back in the ring, under the right circumstances.

In the history of wrestling, there has never been a crossover star like the Rock. While he was a top wrestling star, he has gone on to become the biggest movie star in the world with one blockbuster after another. He keeps coming back to wrestling every now and then though, even wrestling from time to time. This is a big deal for WWE, and they might have another chance with another top star.

The Rock took part in an Instagram live Q&A and was asked about a potential match against Roman Reigns. Rock said that it was a possibility in the future as professional wrestling offered the flexibility that could make it work. The factor that would make the biggest difference would be the venue, as Rock insisted that it be the right one. While nothing specific was mentioned, Rock said that you could “never say never” on the idea. Rock last wrestled at WrestleMania 32, defeating Erick Rowan in 6 seconds.

The two do have a history. Check out some of Rock’s response and his time with Reigns:

Opinion: I’m not sure if I can ever see this match taking place, but as Rock said, never say never. Wrestling really is the kind of place where you could see something like this happen and that is part of what makes wrestling great. Who would have believed we would see Rock get back in the ring with John Cena and then do it again a year later? It’s a possibility and that makes things more exciting.
