It worked for Undertaker. Wrestling is an interesting sport as the shows are built around whatever stories are put together. Sometimes you have an idea that works out rather simply and the wrestlers take it from there, but at other times, there are ideas that are much more high concept. We are seeing that at the moment on Monday Night Raw and it is going to be rather interesting.
One of the bigger stories on Monday Night Raw over the last few months has been the war between Randy Orton and the Fiend Bray Wyatt. Orton literally set Wyatt on fire at Tables, Ladders And Chairs, which would usually end a feud. That is not the case this time around though as Fiend’s disciple Alexa Bliss has been promising his return. Someone returned this week, even though they were already there.
This is a thing that happened. Check out the double vision:
This week on Monday Night Raw, Bliss spoke to a Jack-in-the-box, saying to “bring him back”. An Orton doppelganger then appeared and that this did not end on the real Orton’s terms because the real Orton would soon face everything he had done. The real Orton, who had been watching on a monitor, then began to choke, which he had done the previous week as well.
Opinion: I have no idea where this is going other than to Orton vs. Wyatt at WrestleMania, though I’m almost scared to imagine the story that they are going to use to get there. I’m not sure if it is going to work, but after building everything up for so long, there is only so much that WWE could do to possibly have it live up to the hype. That is not WWE’s strong suit and that scares me quite a bit.
