Welcome back? An injury is a horrible thing to see in wrestling as you never know how long someone is going to be on the shelf. Just hearing the diagnosis is a rough way to go as the waiting alone can be horrible. The amount of time that someone sits on the shelf can be devastating to a wrestler’s career but now someone who has been gone for a long time is on the way back.
Tag team wrestling has been a bit of a weak spot for WWE for a large portion of its history. No matter how long the company has been around, they have had a problem keeping a deep tag team roster. There have been great teams in there, but one of the best of the modern era has been split up due to injury as of late. That might be changing in the near future.
This makes me hopeful. Check out the training for a return:
A video has emerged online of Jimmy Uso training for a return to the ring. The video shows Uso running back and forth through a room in the WWE Performance Center to test his leg. Uso has not wrestled since WrestleMania 36 due to a torn ACL. There is no word on when Uso will be returning to the ring. During his absence, his brother Jey Uso has joined forces with their cousin Roman Reigns as a singles wrestler.
Opinion: This could make for an interesting situation as the Usos are one of the most successful tag teams of all time but I’m not sure how smart it would be to drop what Jey is doing at the moment. Jey has been on fire and a complete shock as a single star. I’m not sure if that is something WWE should let go, but at the same time, reuniting the Usos is quite the appealing idea.
