Shinsuke Nakamura Injured; Jeff Hardy Announces Open Challenge For Smackdown Live

We have some unfortunate news to report, as it appears that one of WWE’s top stars may be out for a while.

The company has released a video saying that Shinsuke Nakamura was injured last night and is not medically cleared to compete tonight on Smackdown Live. He was scheduled to challenge Jeff Hardy for the United States title on the show.

As a result, Hardy has issued an open challenge, as he says that he wants to defend his title tonight.

The last time that the two superstars were in the ring together, Nakamura hit Hardy with one of his now trademark low blows. After cutting promos on each other last week, the two foes were scheduled to do battle tonight.

As of now, there is no word on Nakamura’s injury, the cause of it or how long he will be out of action. We will continue to monitor this story and provide any updates as they become available to us.

Editor’s Opinion:

Well, this sucks. As many of you know, Nakamura is my favorite superstar in all of WWE, and I thought he might actually have won the United States Championship tonight. I hope that this injury is minor, and that he will be back in action sooner rather than later.
