Now in a cameo role. This was a big week for “Monday Night Raw” as they were celebrating their 25th Anniversary. The big idea this time around was having the show in two different locations: the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center. Earlier in the night, the Miz had appeared in the Barclays Center but his night wasn’t over.
After the televised portion of the evening at the Manhattan Center was over, Miz showed up for a post show segment. This included laughing at the various legends in the ring and saying he was the only champion. Seth Rollins interrupted and talked about being proud to wrestle here, including winning the Ring of Honor World Title in the same building. Miz ranted about being a real champion and was cheered by the fans, only to get beaten up by Rollins. Here’s the promo, cut into two parts:
Opinion: Well, it’s better than most of what the Manhattan Center got. I’m surprised that Miz was cheered in New York but hopefully it’s a sign that he’s starting to earn some respect. He’s one of the best talkers in the company and it’s good to see him getting somewhere, even with the smark fans.
Are you glad Miz won the Intercontinental Title back? Should Rollins challenge him for the title? Let us know in the comments below.
