The cure for the Summertime Blues. We’re less than a month away from Summerslam and things are starting to heat up. Summerslam is billed as the Biggest Party of the Summer and with thirty years of history, there is a lot to look back on. This show doesn’t get a lot of attention most of the time but as luck would have it, WWE is right there to take a closer look at Summerslam.
Can you feel the heat?
WWE has released a video looking at Twenty Five Things You Didn’t Know About Summerslam. The video is in a similar vein of the Rumble By The Numbers video that is produced every year for the Royal Rumble. The main focus is on wrestlers in the main event of Summerslam, as well as the history of title changes. Unlike the Rumble videos, this isn’t narrated as the facts are listed as text instead.
Opinion: I could listen to these things all day. There’s something so cool about trivia where you can break down the show’s history with facts and stats, of which wrestling has so many to pick through. Summerslam is kind of the least interesting of the Big Four Shows (WrestleMania is the show of shows and Royal Rumble/Survivor Series have signature matches) and it’s nice to see it getting some attention like this.
Which of these facts is your favorite? What do you expect to see happen this year? Let us know in the comments below.
