Is Matt Hardy Going To Retire?

I’ll catch you down the road. At some point, every wrestler has to retire. Sometimes it’s on their own terms but other times it’s due to their bodies breaking down after all their years in the ring. It happens to every wrestler throughout history, including every wrestler you see in WWE today. While it’s not confirmed, we might be about to lose a current wrestler, who seems to be hinting at something.

In a new Tweet, Hardy has thanked his fans for all of his time over all of the promotions he’s worked for. There is no reason given for why he is thanking everyone for their support, but at 43 years old, Hardy is possibly considering retirement. Hardy has been wrestling since 1992 and debuted in the WWF back in 1998. He and Bray Wyatt recently lost the Raw Tag Team Titles to the B-Team, ending Hardy’s tenth Tag Team Title reign in the company.

Opinion: Really, it’s hard to believe Hardy is going to be around much longer. He’s old and banged up after having wrestled a physical style over the years. His brother is going through the same injury issues and while there’s no guarantee that Hardy is leaving, it wouldn’t surprise me. You have to believe that he’ll have a trainer’s job as soon as he wants one, just for the character development stuff alone.
