We’re not quite ready yet. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works and it could be a long time before things are back to normal. There are only so many things that WWE can do at the moment and that has been the case for the better part of a year. Some things have started to get a bit more back to normal, but one of them will not be fixed anytime soon.

We are less than a month away from the Royal Rumble and that means the Road to WrestleMania is starting off. The show is one of the most important of the year and there is no reason to believe that this one will be any different. There are already wrestlers entering the match but there are still several empty spots to fill. It turns out that those won’t be the only empty things at the show.

According to Spectrum Sports 360 reporter Jon Alba, there are currently no plans for fans to be in attendance at the Royal Rumble on January 31. It is not currently clear when live fans will be returning to WWE events as the return date has now been postponed several times over. The company last had fans in attendance on the March 9 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: Given that we are just over three weeks away from the show and there had been no mention of fans returning to the events yet, this is not the biggest surprise. WWE is not going to want to have a handful of people scattered throughout the venue and it would make sense to wait until things can look close to normal as opposed to doing something that makes it look like WWE is in a mostly empty building.
