They have crossover appeal. AEW has only been around for a little over two years now but you would hardly know it by looking at them. The company looks like one of the more polished and well established wrestling promotions in the world and that gives them some options. They have been doing a lot of cool things and one of them was on display again this week.

One of the coolest things that AEW did last year was working with Impact Wrestling. While that might not sound like much, it is not the kind of thing that you get to see in mainstream wrestling these days. There are only so many companies that could work together at this level and the two of them have a little something going on. Now we saw something new during this week’s television show.

It was a surprise. Check out how AEW Dynamite ended:

This week’s AEW Dynamite ended with the Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson), the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions, making an appearance to help save Kenny Omega from Jon Moxley. The three of them then posed with the Young Bucks to end the show. The Good Brothers and Omega are scheduled to wrestle together against Impact Wrestling World Champion Rich Swann and the Motor City Machine Guns at Hard To Kill on January 16.

Opinion: This is the kind of surprise that makes sense and should be quite a fun way to go. There is a history here and the three of them should be a great mixture in whatever they do. I can’t imagine the Good Brothers becoming regulars in AEW but for a short term story, they will do fine as Omega’s enforcers and friends. Just give us something good on Dynamite and at Hard To Kill and the whole thing is worth it.
