It’s a different world. The last year and a half have seen wrestlers leaving WWE like we have not seen in a very long time. Some of these wrestlers have been let go against their will but some of them have left because they want to. That seems to be what another wrestler wants to do at the moment, and WWE does not seem to be opposed to agreeing to the idea.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Monday Night Raw’s Gran Metalik wanted out of his WWE contract. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is likely to grant his release request. The idea now is that there is no need to keep every wrestler available under contract, meaning Metalik’s request is more likely. Had this taken place just a few years ago, Metalik would have been left to finish out his contract, which expires in 2023.
Metalik certainly as some skill. Check out what he can do when he is given the chance:
Opinion: It really is a different world in WWE these days and that is kind of fascinating in a lot of ways. The idea that wrestlers would want to leave the biggest company in the world in droves like this is rather hard to fathom, but maybe it is what is best for the wrestlers involved. Metalik does not seem to be happy with what he is doing and if he wants out and WWE is willing, why not just go their separate ways?
What do you think of Metalik? Should WWE let him go? Let us know in the comments below.
