Another one joins the bunch. Tomorrow night at “Elimination Chamber 2017”, there will be a probably unprecedented three women’s matches on a single pay per view card.
Other than maybe a gimmick show at some point, I’m pretty sure this has never happened before. With almost the entire women’s division active on one card, it might be time to bring some fresh talent in.
According to Dave Meltzer’s Twitter, that seems to be the case as soon as March. Meltzer says that Tamina Snuka is booked for “Smackdown Live” shows next month, meaning she’ll likely be back on the road at that point if not sooner. Snuka has been out since April with a torn ACL. There is no word on whether she will be a heel or a face.
This is a good thing for the division and “Smackdown Live” as a whole. The problem with having such a small division roster is that you can only rotate the same names in over and over so many times before it gets stale. Just by adding in a name or two, the rotation expands quite a bit with several fresh matches suddenly becoming available.
