This should get them hyped. With the odd structure of an Elimination Chamber card, Sunday’s “Elimination Chamber 2017” card is a bit unbalanced. Between the namesake match having six people, the Tag Team Title match having twelve people and an unprecedented three women’s matches, the card is rather different. Now though we know what’s going to get things going.

According to WWE.com, the Kickoff Show match will feature Mojo Rawley vs. Curt Hawkins. The two of them have been having issues on WWE’s social media accounts and also met in a battle royal for a spot in the 2017 Royal Rumble. Their only other major connection would be teaming with Zack Ryder at different times over the years.

I’d prefer something like this over a marathon of pre-show matches that are treated as a bigger deal than they need to be. It’s not for a title, it’s not a major story and it’s not likely to last more than five minutes. That’s all a pre-show match should be as it doesn’t take away from the rest of the card, which is definitely a good thing.

Who do you think wins here? Who made a better partner for Ryder? Let us know in the comments below.
