That got serious fast. Wrestling is an interesting case study as wrestlers play characters but also have to maintain some semblance of a life outside of the ring. That can make for some interesting exchanges when the cameras are off, but the advent of the internet changes everything. In this case some wrestlers are really going at it on Twitter and one just took it a bit further.
Since last week’s Raw Reunion, current WWE star Lacey Evans and Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze have been arguing back and forth on Twitter. The argument started when Evans insulted the concept of legends and Blayze came back with a statement about Evans failing at everything she does. The argument intensified on Sunday with Blayze suggesting a legend vs. current wrestler match and Evans threatening to lose her career over the beating she would give Blayze if she talked about Evans’ family again. Blayze responded with one more insult and another jab at Evans’ family. Here is the exchange.
We need another legend vs current talent match at #Summerslam Who would you all like to see…

I volunteer to rip you out of your retirement home and make you choke on your words.

And then we have this… disgruntled Youngin wanting to continue to ride on the coattails of a Hall of Famer. #letsfight PS how is that wonderful family of yours

Evans knows how to get nasty with successful wrestlers. Check out her calling out Charlotte earlier this year:
Opinion: I have no idea if this is a work or a shoot but unless it is leading to a match, which it could be, I don’t know if I see the point. The insults are getting intense and these two aren’t being mentioned on television whatsoever. I’m not sure if I get where this is going, though I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in seeing what these two say to each other next.
Will this lead to a match? Who is the best wrestler on Twitter? Let us know in the comments below.
